TXI is one of the largest suppliers of aggregate - native sand, gravel and stone - in Texas and Louisiana. Our plants are among the lowest cost facilities and have the output capabilities to furnish a full spectrum of aggregate materials - from fine sands to custom blends of a large variety of gravel sizes, both natural or crushed.

Expanded Shale and Clay

(Coarse Aggregate & Fine Aggregate Available). (ASTM C 330, ASTM C 331) This light-weight aggregate (LWA) has a long track record of quality performance in uses as surface treatment (chip seal, seal coat), construction aggregate, leachate aggregate, agricultural growing medium and geotechnical engineering applications.

Other uses for this aggregate include chip seal, concrete mix design, mortar designs, asphalt designs, subgrades, bases, walks & walkways, drives & driveways, and decorative uses (flower beds, tree rings, etc.). This material is economically shipped long distances because its density is about half that of normal sand and gravel. TXI has Expanded Shale and Clay (ESC) plants in Texas and California.

Coarse Aggregate

(Normal Weight). (ASTM C 33, ASTM C 448) TXI has the ability to provide a wide array of coarse aggregates (Limestone, Gravel, Pea-gravel, Decorative Aggregate, etc.).

Aggregate has many uses including concrete mix design, chip seal, mortar designs, asphalt designs, subgrades, bases, walks & walkways, drives & driveways, and decorative uses (flower beds, tree rings, etc.).

Fine Aggregate

(Normal Weight). (ASTM C 33, ASTM C 448, ASTM C 144) TXI has the ability to provide a wide array of construction (Concrete Sand, etc.) and specialty fine aggregates (Decorative Aggregate, Sand, etc.) to its customers. Aggregate has many uses including concrete mix design, mortar designs, asphalt designs, subgrades, bases, walks & walkways, drives & driveways, and decorative uses (flower beds, tree rings, etc.).

Consumer Packaged Products also Available as Paver Sand and Sandbox Sand.
